I hold a Bachelor of Fine Arts (Honours) in Visual Arts from the University of Victoria (Photography) with additional studies at the Film Production and Film Studies programs at Concordia University in Montreal. Most recently I have studied pet-specific photographic techniques with esteemed pet photographers Jenni Bidner and Jill Flynn. I can think of nothing more natural than combining my love for animals with my expertise and talent as a photographer. Although I have portable studio lighting for that formal studio look, I prefer to shoot in natural light without a tripod, and in the animal's usual environment - whether their home, yard or favourite play park. This allows me to interact and move with the animals in a place where they are comfortable; pet and photographer, both unleashed!
